Little Angels Prayers for Every Day by Roma Downey - Book Review & GIVEAWAY

I just had the privilege of reviewing Roma Downey's latest book from Little Angels, Prayers for Every Day.  First, I am going to give you a little ditty about the book, then I am going to take you on my journey with this book.

Little Angels is a series of books and DVD's for pre-school children.  The books share with children the biblical truths, lessons, and love of God and His Word.

Little Angels Prayers for Every Day features more than 50 simple rhyming prayers that cover a typical day and the typical worries of a young child. From waking in the morning to going to sleep at night, from thanking God for a meal to praying for His comfort when afraid, the prayers here will help little ones to see that any moment is a good moment to talk to God. Relevant Bible verses are scattered throughout the book as well!

When the book arrived, I literally gasped when I pulled it from the package.  I was so taken back by how beautiful the cover was and how wonderful it felt in my hands.  I know, I know, that sounds so dramatic!  I just really didn't expect this!  The cover is slightly padded for a comfortable grip.  The cardboard pages are a thoughtful choice for sometimes "not-so-gently" pre-schooler hands and dripping jelly.  No worries here.  I even did a little test and ate a PBJ (messy style) and then thumbed through the book.  Yup, I left my mark behind, but it cleaned up easily with a damp paper towel.  Hey, I take this review stuff seriously!

Let's move onto the illustrations.
Breathtaking.  Captivating.  Welcoming.
The characters are friendly and someone a youngster can relate to.  For a non-reader, the pictures really bring the words to life and share the prayers in their own way.  Here is a peak at one of the pages.

Isn't this beautiful?  Aren't these little prayers just the perfect size for your little angel?  Soon enough, your little one will be saying these prayers along with you.  Each page brings you a different prayer theme:  Prayers for Morning, Praise, Thanks, Mealtimes, Others, Help, Guidance, Forgiveness, Comfort, and Bedtime.  Throughout the book you will find scriptures, too!  I love how the prayers start in different ways...Dear Lord, Dear Jesus, Dear God.  Our Savior can not be contained with one name, since He is so many things to us.

I am so excited to give this book to my little niece, Isabella, for her birthday next month.  She is turning two.  To order yours for only $9.99 visit this LINK.  To see all 10 of the Little Angels books, just click HERE.  To get even more of the scoop, follow on Facebook, Twitter, or even watch a video of Roma sharing about her Little Angels line....check out these link:
